WHERE WE WORK
Preferred Drilling works throughout the entire State of Florida, including the Keys. We also provide service in parts of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and South Carolina. We have five locations strategically placed throughout Florida to efficiently serve these areas. Each location is equipped with, at minimum, a Geoprobe® with auger attachment. Below is a complete list of our branches and corresponding equipment.
PDS Locations
Odessa, Florida
Our Odessa branch is situated on approx. 1 acre of land and conveniently located off of SR-54 and SR-589. Operating out of this service branch are: one track mounted Geoprobe® 7822 rig & one Geoprobe® 8040 track mounted combo DPT/auger rig which primarily serve the west coast of Florida. This is also the location of our corporate office staff facilities.
Lakeland, Florida
Our Lakeland branch, opened in 2005, is located at 1509 North Combee Rd. The facility is 10,000 square feet and is located near I-4 & SR33. This branch warehouses one Geoprobe® 8140LS sonic rig, one Geoprobe® 3230 track mounted combo DPT/auger rig, two track mounted Geoprobe® 7822 rigs and one Geoprobe® 7720 rig. This centrally located facility allows PDS to provide competitive pricing in Central Florida and along the East Coast.
Live Oak, Florida
The PDS Live Oak branch was originally opened in 2010 as a way to service the northern portion of Florida. Located at 610 Industrial Ave. SW, it is conveniently situated near I-10 which provides for easy mobilization to surrounding areas including Jacksonville. This branch helps us to better serve the central and eastern portions of North Florida as well as parts of Georgia and South Carolina. The facility is 3,750 sq ft located on 1 acre of land and operates one D120 conventional drill rig and one Geoprobe® 7822 track mounted rig.
Milton, Florida
Our Milton, FL branch is located at 8281 Welcome Rd. The branch was opened in 2016 to provide easier access to the Panhandle, Alabama and Mississippi. This facility is 6,000 sq. ft. situated on 1+ acres of land and operates one Geoprobe® 8040 track mounted combo DPT/auger rig.
Bonifay, Florida
In March 2019 PDS added its branch in Bonifay, FL through a partial acquisition of Huss Drilling. This branch is located at 2349 Hwy 177A. Warehousing one Geoprobe® 8150LS sonic rig and one Geoprobe® 7822 combo rig, this branch helps services the panhandle as well as parts of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina.
